I have been wring content for many years and have come up with a solution for all those who want to know an easy way to get the most from the content you write for your business website. I have come up with a simple but effective 4 stage rule, that has been used on many sites and had great success for those who follow it.

When writing the intro of a page it needs to discuss what the page is about. Its that simple.

products - services

This is where you discuss what you want to sell, share or discuss (the meat of the page). You need to make the text stand out from the crowd - competition and make it personal to the reader. All content when written needs to be aimed at the reader, or potential client and it needs to be first hand. What I mean by this is talk as if you are the owner of the website aiming it at the reader.

benefits

This section of your page needs to aimed again at the reader to explain why (what you are discussing) is beneficial to you reader - purchaser. It needs to stand out, make it personal and ensure that the client, reader, understands how it will make a difference if used, bought or followed.

call to action

This is the most important part of the page. You need to make sure you explain what you want the reader to do. It may be click a link, purchase something, make contact. What ever it is, you need to make the reader do what you want them too.
